Employment Opportunities

We have several employment opportunities over the summer and the period of our camps. These include camp counselors and general camp help. Below is a description of these positions.

Camp Counselors - We are looking for camp counselors for all of our camps. We generally have positions for 3 - 4 counselors/camp. Camp counselors assist the lead counselor to run daily activities including; morning runs and log work-outs, assist clinicians in demonstrating moves and assisting campers in learning moves correctly, helping to run and score Outdoor Challenge Activities and wrestling tournaments and coordinating movement of campers between activities and events.

All room and board is provided and you get to participate in all of the Outdoor Challenge Activities. Winning teams, of Outdoor Challenge Events, get to challenge camp counselors, coaches and clinicians in paintball, river-nerf football and and other events including a "war zone" on the canoe trip. In addition camp counselors will get to work with camp clinicians, as time permits, on individual technique.

We are looking for counselors who are active participants in college level wrestling programs, recent graduates or coaches. We are looking for counselors to serve as role models and who are interested in sharing their experience and skills to help other wrestlers. Counselors working consecutive camps get free room and board between camps and are welcome to use our many recreation facilities and opportunities.

General Summer Camp Workers - We are also looking for general camp help. Assistance is needed in food preparation and serving, general clean-up, light housekeeping and grounds maintenance.

**This would be ideal for a retired couple with their own camper looking to enjoy summer recreation activities available in the Valentine area. These include, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing and access to the Badlands and the Black Hills of South Dakota.
